oh god, cbs going into the "troubles" the pats had the face this year.

they lost no need to give reasons.

Dude, c'mon. They didn't have enough time to film commercials! That's why they couldn't get it together for the playoffs.

The Patriots were a dynasty, winning 3 out of 4 = Dynasty.

Finally, we can get off the Tom Brady and the Patriots lovefest

Thank God.

Yep. And the USC lovefest is over too. Face it folks, there is too much parity for there to be a "dynasty" in Football these days. Sure, you will have the occasional team and coach put together a streak, but you won't have anyone winning multiple Super Bowls in a row on a regular basis. Just like how the 49ers dominated in the 80's and 90's -- New England played some dominate ball in the 00's. However, it doesn't make either one a dynasty. 🙂

*cough* you forgot the Dallas Cowboyds *Cough*

Ah Ah Ah Choootheyweredefinatelymoreofadynastythenanyotherteamanywaysespeciallyoverthe49ersoooooooooo

man anybody got some cold medicine? 😛

No. Sorry, you are wrong. They were not a dynasty.

define dynasty, its obviously a matter of perception but winning 3 out of 4 superbowls in the age of salary cap (and so called parity) is dynasty IMO

You've both bought into the media hype. The Pats didn't even make the playoffs the year Tampa Bay won the Super Bowl. How is that a dynasty?

the fact that you say that means they were not a dynasty. you said "the patriots were a dynasty". if they truly were a dynasty then it would not be over. they could be 4 out of 6. i will give credit to the great team that they were/are but a dynasty lasts much longer.

if denver plays this bad next week they are going to get owned. they had nothing going on defense, or offense, the only thing that stopped the patriots were themselves. denver did not even cause a couple of the fumbes the patriots just dropped them. denver cannot expect those kinds of gifts next week agianst whoever they play.

edited for spelling and grammer

The patriots just killed themselves in that game. Missed field goals, too many fumbles, muffed punt return, etc etc. But hey, its the playoffs and basically it comes down to the team who doesnt make the mistakes usually wins.

Not only that but the officials calls werent too good. Sorry the pass interference call was just BS. No call on the false start on the field goal when the guard clearly moved. The call with bailey's fumble, the ball was in the end zone. It looked pretty clear to me from the one camera angle.

Personally I think the pat's out played em but lost due to mistakes. They were due to make em though.

I predicted Bronco's would win, and Im glad I did since I won with the bookie. I figured the NFL doesnt want to keep having the same team win (just let em win this long to break the consecutive game record), so gotta try put em down any chance they can get. Bronco's was a good chance.

Dynasties don't last forever. Hell, if the Pats win it again next year, they would tie the Steelers as the best Dynasty of all-time (which I would give the Pats the edge because of the Salary Cap era).

i agree with that for the most part. the term dynasty is extremely subjective. i have a lot of respect for what the pats have done but i think they need to continue it to become a true 'dynasty'

that is the same thing i was trying to say but you worded it better than i did

Could the announcers have sucked the Pat c0cks any more? I mean all the way to the gun "they lost like warriors...Bill's dad died...blah blah blah". I thought they were gonna cry.

I LOLed reading that 😛

I dunno, I know that alot of people are calling that pass interference play, but how do you turn the ball over 5 times and expect to win? Denver didn't play like a superbowl contender, but the Pats certantly didn't look like a team in persuit of the 'Dynasty' milestone. Whatever the hell that means.

OH - a serious KUDOS to Tom Brady for going out on the feild and actually talking to the opposing team after the game. Good for him - perhaps he's not a whiny suckbaby afterall.

"A family or group that maintains power for several generations."

Looks like the same generation to me... It has to be, because during Elways time the Pats were 0-10 aginst him 😀

If the Broncs can win the AFC championchip this year thats 4 decades in a row and 3 different QB's... that just seems to fit the definition more to me.

Or you can buy into the media BS. <--- Warning, leads to Zealot status 😉

Ok I just got back from the Church of the Denver Broncos at Mile High and I have something to say.

THE PATRIOTS CHOKED UNDER THE PRESSURE!

The Denver Broncos had two weeks to prepare for this game. Defense was ready to play a big game in front of the home crowd and made several big plays. The patriots made some big plays but they also made just as big mistakes. The most glowing of these was the botched punt return that Denver recovered. This was botched because the person that was going to block the kick had to stop from going over the line and causing a first down from an encroachment penalty. If timed correctly I think that they would of blocked the punt.

When ever you turn over the ball five times and give short yardage to the endzone you are going to lost the game.

Wow how impressive were the Donkeys Offense?? Bwuahahahaha. They are going to get beat so bad in the Championship game.

I don't think it was just pressure.

Maybe you guys need to check back, but the Pats schedule was not exactly hard... and name a single GOOD team they beat up till now... Jacksonville? LOL did you check their schedule also?

Lets look at the Broncos schedule, drew a very hard NFC division and lets also mention 2 games with the Chargers and Chiefs... 2 teams which BTW smacked down some VERY big contenders this year... the Pats being one.. and I seem to recall a 13-0 team getting Swatted too.

Broncos went into that game simply a better team. Beating the Jets and the Bills is not "Bouncing back" it's the media kissing Brady a$$.

Why do homers always throw in the "salary cap era so they're the best dynasty" line?
Granted most pats fans just sprouted out of nowhere in the past 5 years so I wouldn't expect them to know much about the NFL before the year 2000.

The Bronco's offence was very impressive. Just because they had short fields most of the game does not take away from the fact they did their job.

BTW Even though I would have another game at Mile High against pittsburgh, I did pick the indy to win tomorrow so the Broncos will have to win next weeks game away.
