I'm saying this as a die-hard Pats fan, but I don't think Cassel did an MVP job this year. As someone who has had next to NO play time and had to live up to Brady's rep? Absolutely. But he wasn't MVP material, but rather a huge surprise.

I voted All Day/Purple Jesus/Adrian Peterson. IMO he is the most valuable person to their team and they wouldnt really be far without him. As good as Brees was this year, he didnt lead his team to the playoffs, which is why i dont think he should get it

nfc souf vs. nfc norf lol

they only beat 50% of "norf" teams

AP is in third place in my mind becuase he at least didn't have to deal with putting up 150 and 3 scores a game to compete with teams. The viks have the best run defense in the league, so at least their games were close so AP could deliver that one punch KO in the form of a long TD run per game.

and HOLY ISH - front page of NFL.com - Shanahan is OUTTA HERE!

Voted DWare because he's a beast, but I don't see how anyone can discount what Matt Ryan or Chad did - both of those guys have a large hand in turning their teams around.

Whoa. I don't see that headline though.

Maybe Cowher to Jets is what I am seeing.

I see it, thanks. Wow. 14 season with the Broncos right? Guess I shouldn't be that surprised after how they played this year.

I vote Matt Ryan. Everyone including me said Atlanta needed better receivers under Vick. He comes in and White is ProBowler and Jenkins is a solid #2.

I'm voting for Chad "Suck it Favre" Pennington. Going 1-15 last year to winning their division this year w/ 11-5 record is epic win IMO. Sweetest of all, they squeezed the Pats outta the playoffs even though the Pats got the same record. That extra win in conference play is LOL.

Peyton.

yes but MVP is about 1 season only; not the 8 preceding ones. so...completely irrelevant.

A lot of great players on the list.

Brees, P Manning (2nd half), Turner and Ryan. The last two, like Peterson, were so essential to those teams.

I voted Rivers, of course. He's been giving me a chub ever since he was wearing the red & white. :D And he actually had a spectacular year. Two of the losses were whack jobs by the refs (Denver, and that one before or after--I forget), and he gets too many fumbles INTs credited to him that weren't his. (if the center snaps it into his own crotch and onto the ground, why does QB get the fumble? I don't get it...yes, FF frustration :|)
