Lions stockpiling picks? I think they are trading down again for Stephen Jackson.

Its quite possible.

I thought the same thing.

I wouldn't mind getting Williams, though.

What did the Lions get from the Browns besides the 7th pick?

Their 2nd round pick

so who would probably pick roethlisberger?

Hes fallen to 11th at earliest, with Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh, was hoping to get Rivers, but said they would settle for Roethlisberger.

Roy is great, but the WR class is deep. They already have a #1 go to guy w/ Charles Rogers. So I say they trade down and get Stephen Jackson and a WR in Round 2. And then they can fill other needs (OL, DL) w/ their stockpiled picks.

I think Giants made a mistake though. They could've accepted the deal with Browns and still gotten Rivers at number 7. That way they could make the same trade with Chargers, but would at least get something in return.

The Giants didnt want Rivers, they wanted Manning or Roethlisberger. The Browns were the ones that backed out of the deal at the last minute.

Edit Damn, Browns gave up their second round pick just to move one spot! Well, we got our Manning, so I'm not complaining.

We'll see what happens in the season... with all this hype from the draft for all players who knows who will really be a great player.

Pittsburgh was working on trading up to take Rivers, so no they would NOT have gotten Rivers at 7. But that doesnt matter, the Browns backed out.

Wow, Lions get Williams AND the Browns second rnd pick, so they will be picking back to back at 34 and 35.

I'd like to see Kevin Jones drop down there. 😀

They should get Cedric Cobbs, he will do good in the NFL if he gets the chance.
