And now for 2 weeks of non stop Katrina crap, oh the joy! :\

Think of the death and tragedy in that building, and what a change it was tonight. What other venue has the bittersweet history as the Super Dome, and what a fantastic way to send the Saints to their first Super Bowl. Congrats to New Orleans and the Saints!

Think about all the women raped in that building during and after the storm

Yea this two week wait for the Superbowl sucks big time 🙁

Oh and the Pro Bowl next week. Hint to NFL: nobody gives a crap. I saw one long ago and never saw another again.

It was horrific. When Katrina hit and the most significant memory was driving over the interstate one night and almost no one was heading south, but headlights were backed up for miles with people heading north. It completely changed the region in such a profound way. Glad to see this for the people still in NO.

Anyone saying Favre lost the game is a dope. That loss was definitely a team effort 😛

Ever been? Lived 5 years in NO (Slidell) and currently live in northern La. What an incredible place. The Gulf Coast is such an incredible region.

Remember, Hey Zeus is wrong about everything, so you just assume the opposite of what he says is right.

Brett Farve lost that one. It was all on him.

I don't think so. The man must be made of iron, because he took a pounding you rarely see in football. He even stayed accurate for the most part. He gave a lot of himself to that game. I don't see how anyone could watch his performance today and not come away with a great deal of respect for him.

That's fine, but he's been spectacular for us this season. Yeah, he made a really bad play there, but he did not lose us this game and we never would have gotten this far without him.

KT

He's a damn shot better than Tony Romo, even if he's not what he once was. If Tony Romo had been the Vikings QB today, he would have started throwing INTs and incompletions like crazy as soon as they were a TD down.

It brings me to the crazy rock/paper/scissors world of the NFL.

Cowboys blow out the Saints
Vikings blow out the Cowboys
Saints squeeze past the Vikings

what?

Favre's last play of the season was an interception on a play that cost the Vikings a field goal attempt! Would you want to retire on that note? For that very reason alone you'd think he'd come back for another season next year.

I have a proposal for a new bowl game to be played between the Conference Championships and the Superbowl. I don't think anyone pays any attention to the Pro Bowl, so I propose starting a new tradition of having a:

Toilet Bowl

The Toilet Bowl would feature the NFL's worst teams, duking it out to avoid the shame and humiliation that comes from being a toilet bowl loser. (This year's Toilet Bowl would have featured the St. Louis Rams and the Detroit Lions.)

Hah, that'd be more interesting. Different teams train wildly differently (formations, style, routes, etc), so when you take a bunch of random players and make them play a game that doesn't really matter, the results are predictably boring and pointless.

Having two actual teams play (maybe for NFL-sponsored charities? that would rock for raising $ for good causes!) for an extra game would be nice.

I Am a Vikings fan being from Mn. I really wasn't happy with the Vikes signing Farve . But I tell ya something When I am wrong I am really wrong .

That first regular season game . It was Farve running 20 yards downfield making a Bad ass block on one of the leagues best players . I said Gee this guy is a player.

Last year I only watched liked 6 games . Because I just don't like the officatiing in todays sports. But this year I watched every game Farve made me really like the game again.

I would rather watch Farve play than Win . I mean the guy is just special , I would have liked Them to win tonight . But just watching Farve play is so much more than the final score. I could rage about the High low hit on farve which is illeagel play in the NFl . Or the Pass interferance on a none catchable ball. Or the trap ball catch or all the holding on Allen . Those are the reasons that drove me away from the game. Farve made it fun again. Bottom line If Farve doesn't come back next year I just won't watch the game anymore. Not because I believe he will take us to the super bowl . But because he brings something special to the game . No one will ever be like Farve ever. Thanks Brett for Giving me more than a super bowl game win . You made the game fun to watch again . God bless you and please play one more year or two even . I would rather watch the vikes in a losing effort than Watching the vikes win a super bowl without Farve.

Great game by both teams. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

I wanted the Vikings to win but NO deserves this. They for sure earned it.

Excellent game! I loved every minute of it! I'm glad Brett Favre came back after the injury. The Saints defense had an amazing game. I admire Brett Favre's effort, and I hope he comes back next year, but he wasnt' gonna take this one from us. This is our year!

Who Dat?!

<----- New Orleans area resident. I don't think Katrina has anything to do with it, but this city and its hardcore football fans have waited so long for a SuperBowl! So proud of our boys tonight, and looking forward to hearing about it for 2 weeks, so haters can suck it!

Ya I like New orleans. Archy manning was one of my favorits . I hope they go all the way this year . God knows its a dead city oceans are rising orleans will be wiped out . So want to see them do well.

Oh, we could ask for something better... overtime rules that don't favor the team that wins the coin toss. 😉

Also, fewer fumbles.
