So I dunno, they just looked completely inept coaching wise in that 2nd half, no? But not that has been a common thing for them or LeFleur over the years, but just saying that ineptness was an odd thing to see from how I was reading the game. It's not like Love was really off, he was making the plays he could considering how basically no one could open, but everything was just wrong from the snap throughout the 3rd quarter. like, completely. It was kinda nuts.

We're used to wild comebacks in 21st century sports; it happens and it's not that surprising anymore. Nothing will ever top the Falcons 28-3 meltdown.

However, like you explained, it was a tale of two entirely different halves. I would be less upset about losing to hated rivals if the Packers didn't dominate the first half so thoroughly. Worst of all, we made Caleb Williams look like Super Joe Montana in the 4th quarter.
Also, I'm sure Ben Johnson and his staff made HT adjustments, but it's not like the Bears made their rally right away. It wasn't until the 4Q that the script was entirely flipped.

In a way, the game was a microcosm of the Matt LaFleur era. His first 3 seasons were considered SB contenders (although they were actually playoff flops), but the last 4 have been mediocre.

yep, I said yesterday we can't be sure of anything beforehand. In the first half, LaFleur looked genius (the offense was unstoppable) but the 4th quarter choke didn't make any sense. (It's easy to blame the kicker, but he didn't surrender 25 points in the quarter.)

I wouldn't fire LaFleur just yet, but he's in the final year of his contract. I would NOT tack on an extension now, unless it's just one more year. Generally I hate how much of a "what have you done for me lately" philosophy pervades pro sports, but in this case, LaFleur's seat should be hot. I'd want his team to show progress next season before committing multiple years.

Bills were down 35-3 to Houston in 92 playoffs (41-38). Vikings beat the Colts 39-36 after being down 33-0 in 2022. Matt Ryan started for the Falcons in their meltdown and the Colts in '22

Pats/Bills will be an epic game in Foxborough as long as the Chargers don't ruin it.

Why not go for 2 there? No difference between 4 or 5 point lead. Sure 6 isn't much different either but could be in theory...
