Patrick Mahomes suffered a torn ACL in the closing minutes of Sunday's loss to the Chargers, an MRI confirmed. "Don't know why this had to happen," he wrote on social media. "And not going to lie, [it] hurts."
Out of the playoffs and out of commission for 8 to 12 months.

9ers took care of business after the bye. Although I had some concerns when the Titans scored to make it 24. The D was starting to go soft. They need to tighten up their run game for sure when they play the Bears next week. Purdy played well, though the Titans DBs were banged up. I'm glad Pearsall wasn't seriously hurt and was able to get back into the game.
It'll be interesting to see how the NFC west plays out rest of season. I thought I read somewhere if the 9ers win out and the Rams lose a game we could hop into #1 seed which would be crazy given all the injuries.
