i love jon's prediction of what football will be like in the year 17776

it's a bizarre work of art. and it's a better future, because they probably realized that gambling should be illegal again by 2030. it spams everything everywhere now, and it makes people who already took sports too seriously take it way more seriously when they have hundreds or thousands of dollars on the line.

People are losing their minds over Las Vegas kicking a field goal in the last seconds of the game while down by 10. The game was already over at that point. Why is everyone so angry?

I would love to see Rivers win a Super Bowl. Absent that, I would love to see the Sam Darnold redemption arc continue with a Seahawks Super Bowl.

Suddenly in a tough division, the Colts will likely miss the playoffs entirely.
(Although they still have a better shot than the 6-7 Chiefs or Ravens.)

One thing that's interesting is how quickly both the Seahawks and the Patriots have rebuilt after jettisoning their HoF head coaches. It wouldn't shock anyone if both Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick are retired by 2027. In theory, Belichick's buy out with NC is puny, but the NFL has probably already moved on from the 73-year-old.

Edit:
Seems like ESPN needs to fix their computer model. Chiefs are #2, while the Iggles and Ravens round out the top 10. All 3 preseason favorites are rated above the Broncos and Patriots. 🤣 (At a glance, looks like FPI overweights SOS.)
