I wouldn't have guessed this, but Sao Paulo appears to be far safer than Philly.

I think it's like this: Goes into endzone, touchback ball placed on the 30 (35?). Ball lands inside the 20, has to be fielded, but the kickoff team can't approach until the returner fields the ball. I think.

That's more or less what I just read on the NFL site. The new rule sucks. I hope it dies after this one season, if not during.
 
I think most teams would be satisfied with just kicking through the endzone and spotting the ball on the 30 instead of the 20. We'll see how most teams handle it Sunday. If the ball keeps getting kicked into the endzone they should just get rid of the kickoff altogether and just start at the 25 or something.

I wish they would go back to putting the ball on the 20. I like long drives. When the ball is spotted on the 30 under the new rule, one good play later and the offense is already at mid field. This isn’t basketball, for Pete’s sake
 
The game has been steered toward the offensive side for decades now, i say we give it a few games , it sounds like a step in the right direction

Tonight its like watching paint dry.
 
Not sure what the computer says about taking the FG to cut the lead to 2, vs going for it on 4th-and-5.

IIRC LaFleur made the same "error" in the playoffs 3 years ago?

A lot of that had to do with the field conditions. They were slipping and sliding all over the place.

nah, there was nothing bad or illegal about that play, just bad luck, acl seems to be ok according to reports
 
I am not surprised Saquon Barkley has already made an impact.

Looks like the Eagles are on the road to an easy division crown.

I don't know but perhaps the distinction is "getting hit" below the knees. In this case, the would-be tackler tried to grab his lower leg.

Interestingly enough, the Tom Brady Rule is actually the Carson Palmer rule!
