I'd rather not get into his "pass" for Harrison Butthead, but I felt more offended by his spiel about how Rashee Rice is gonna be a good dude now and do the right things (TM).

Overall, it's like Michael Jordan (in)famously said, "Republicans buy sneakers too."

Brother. I think you have it backwards. Rashee Rice should be given way more of a chance than that insane kicker. Rice can still become a better man and his actions really sucked but at least for just a few people. The kicker? Full blown far right wing extremism which is affecting millions of peoople. Have you read the speech? There is a lot of insane in there, not just the couple viral excerpts.

I never said I'm okay with Mahomes statement of support for Butthead. I just found it hilarious he wants us all to believe Rice is a good dude now, after a recent felony hit and run. I'm not saying Rice's personal beliefs are anything in the ballpark of Butker's verbal diarrhea. I do appreciate when pro athletes step up for good reasons; but other guys will happily play neutral like MJ and Tiger Woods because it's better for their bank accounts. The best part of it all is that Butker's own mother is an accomplished scientist.

Obviously Mahomes voice has a lot of weight, but it's the organization's job to police its players off-court behaviors. I think the NFL itself released some weak statement saying Butker has a right to say butthead things, and they have no further comment.

The NFL has proven hundreds thousands of times that all they care about is performance, not character. I forget the exact count but when > 75% of controlling owners are staunch GOP conservatives, that shouldn't surprise anybody.

I didn't say you were okay with it,I acknowledged you were displeased, but you were more displeased with the comments on Rice, by Mahomes.

That's all I'm saying. If you read the speech I mean this guy could be Trump's VP candidate.

I guess you can pay that kind of money when you aren't paying a top flight QB. What else are you going to do with all that cap space. With Darnold or McCarthy throwing him the ball though yeesh.

Vikings always find the best WR but not a competent QB for him to get the ball...Randy Moss is the prior example.

"Competent?" Kirk Cousins was an MVP candidate last season before he ruptured his Achille's. (I'm not a Cousins fan, but you could do worse.)
IIRC Daunte Culpupper went to a few Pro Bowls.

If you want to talk about a team with a wretched history at QB, look no further than their division rival Bears.

The contract numbers are kind of wild, but Jefferson is probably worth it if he can stay healthy. Now CeeDee Lamb and Brandon Aiyuk will want "market rate," and they're not quite as good as Jefferson.

Meanwhile, CMC gets some new money to keep him happy:

Kirk is good enough to not harm his receivers but he doesn't elevate his game either. I watched him in his time in Washington, when he had a good cast with Desean, Pierre, etc.

But that's not much different than moss having Randall Cunningham or Brad Johnson. It's nothing compared to the explosion when Moss met Goat Brady and you really get to see two HOFers interact.

Definitely rooted for Mahomes and the Chiefs the last years as the Giants have sucked, so it's nice to root for some great football players. Can no longer root for Mahomes, this was the right time to step up and call out the very easy reality that who cares if Butker is a good football teammate, he is a shitty person, because his views are some of the shittiest we have, and have and will directly lead to evil things happening. If you don't have the character to call it out now, you are part of the problem. Super lame.

Yeah, Mahomes seems to have listened to Brady too much, all about building his legacy, brand and getting money, now. Plus his pathetic fucking meltdown after the Bills game was...well pathetic. Making his lack of being willing to be critical at all of what Butker said even more pathetic is that his wife has been facing a ridiculous amount of hate just for basically existing (last year there was a ton directed at her over the SI swimsuit issue by Christian asswipes like Butker). I saw a decent amount of people who clearly wanted to hate on Mahomes but realized they'd just look like dumbfucks (like zinfamous level football dumbfuck), who then just directed it at his wife instead. And he didn't say a goddamn thing, probably because his wife (like many women) is just used to that type of behavior directed at them. Meanwhile, he's being a whiny bitch over a clear obvious correct penalty call. Its sad to see him going from 2019 and 2020 to where he is now. But hey, Sooper Bowels!

Seeing him, Kelce, Andy, and Goodell all spouting the same tripe. I don't know how men can look their wives and daughters, sisters, mothers, or any other women they supposedly respect in the face after being so chickenshit. Guess it'd be with "shut up bitch, get back in the kitchen"? Pathetic.

Quick thought I had. A few years (ok, well like almost 10 now) they started pushing this "Chiefs Kingdom" slogan, which I fucking hated, but I'm wondering if its not in advancement of expected push for name change. And thinking about how unscrupulous the team is, and the history, that they might go with Monarchs. Which would be gross of them to co-opt that name given its legacy and the repeated cowardice in the face of hate that this team and league has shown.

You guys know they upped the salary cap due to extra money for the league, right? Prices were always gonna jump. On top of that, the league knows it has to throw the players a bone in order to get their 18 game season. Lots of people gonna get paid because there's extra money to pay them with.

lol. what did I do to piss in your cheerios? Merely insult your personality cult of unquestioning allegiance to grown men playing kids games on a field and the billionaire shitheads the run these organizations that literally don't give a fuck about you? 😀

Or maybe because it's that I long ago realized that when it comes to pro sports, the only people to hold in any reverence are the individual athletes, when deserved, and not the pieces of shit that run everything? Yes: any "Team." I think this offends you, because you don't accept my confusing and rather enlightened take on things.

still lost to Eli!
It's about the only two good things the New York Giants have done.

Big Blue can f themselves for being Washington's most consistent spoiler. Only Washington fans need to be terrorized by the mentioned of the name Daniel Jones....he sucks against everyone else...but wins against Washington.

Thanks for reminding us that the GOAT was a better QB than above average dudes like Randall Cunningham and Kirk Cousins. 😛

Like I said, I'm no Cousins fan. He's not elite. But he's started nearly 150 games in his career; his body of work is fairly solid. Obviously the Vikings decided against paying him big bucks to stay another 2-3 seasons so they clearly don't think he's that good.

If you still want to redefine the word competent, go right ahead. There are only so many elite or All-Pro QBs in the league at any given time.

I'll just claify my intended point.

Vikes always draft eh best WR. The competent QB that delivers him the ball good enough doesn't stay for long and the replacement usually winds up being...not good or injured when he was about to get good(apparently that's Culpeper's timeline).

Sure, they had Kirk for 3.5 years. But he did get injured, and any scout can see Jefferson stirred the drink more. So Kirk is now gone and the rookie is currently an uncertainty.

Just like the Chargers "chargering", it's one of those coincidences that weirdly repeats with a team.

I guess he doesn't mind dating a social climber and letting her self promote off of his coat tails as long as she is attractive?
He went as young, kinky, and hard-bodied as possible....apparently their relationship is 2-3 years old. I guess some of that Navy kink rubbed off.

She should be warned that she might not get any money.

Bill apparent went about smashing a secretary way back when he was 55. Dude got some weird game. He's also thrice divorced. I doubt he wants a fourth. He's better at picking up younger chicks than actual "wide receivers" or quarterbacks.

Giants are on Hard Knocks this year, starting in July. I had no idea they were even in it until I just saw the trailer was released today.

Isn't the entire AFC North supposed to be on it this year?

Oh, JHumeC, they have 3 different Hard Knocks going. The Giants are Offseason (who fucking cares, doubly so for the Giants; I'm trying to think of a team I'd care less about the offseason of this year; Chiefs, Falcons, Jets, Patriots, would have been at least interesting); , the Bears are the Preseason, and then the AFC North is in season.

Interesting as supposedly they were struggling to find people willing to do the Quarterback show that's on Netflix after the first season. NFL is gonna overdo it though. It already felt like the draft stuff started before the season ended and then was nonstop for like 4 months.

He's a gross old man so yeah he doesn't mind people thinking he's a fucked up perv fucking someone young enough to be his granddaughter. Now I'm wondering if Kraft and Billy's rift didn't start because Kraft was mad he got outed for being a gross old man while people just though Bill was an asshole.

I hope she's doing it for social clout cause...damn if she's attracted to his personality. That'd be like being attracted to John Wayne Bobbit for his penis.

Karen QAnon Rodgers is skipping all of the Jets mandatory minicamp, unexcused.

the Jets continue to drive fans nuts with constant failure.

The Jets are ok with it.

They should feel lucky, most teams don't have a single play that can be pointed at to sum up their history, the Jets will always have butt-fumble.
