They should set it during the Revolutionary War. 1 bullet flintlock rifles, 2 minute reload times where you must remain stationary, etc, the complete polar opposite of today's FPS.

That would be so awesome. You could line your armies up right in front of one another and just wait for the melee combat!

Meh, you just described MW2.

No way.

Modern Warfare 2 experience:

1) Start MW2.
2) Leave for five minutes and do something else while the matchmaking service connects you to a server in Somalia.
3) Play for 30 seconds until you realize that one of the guys is shooting people in the head from halfway across the map.
4) Leave server.
5) Join new game (this one in Serbia)
6) Play for 30 seconds and leave after everybody is running around continuously shooting each other with 203s.
7) At no point do you have any fun. Between hackers, 203ers, G18ers, lag, and other assorted stupidity, you realize that this isn't a game, but a torture device designed to steal your money and make you miserable.
