Not too surprising. If a lot of people are going to bail on SUVs due to gas mileage, hatchbacks generally give the best combination of gas mileage and utility space. I know I've been considering a hatchback for my next car for that very reason.
I agree. Lately I've been feeling the wagon/hatch bug myself.
 
Doesn't seem too bad, but the headlights and grill are a little much IMO. I'd rather they just updated the matrix....which it will probably replace. This definitely has more of a Yaris/Xa cutesy vibe to it. The matrix was always cool.

Is it just me or do all the new 2007 toyota's look the same now? Corolla is a bigger yaris, camry is a bigger corolla, avalon is a bigger camry.
