I didn't see the $50 640 Black over Thanksgiving, so a valid point, but neither it nor the 640 Blue have been that low recently. And I agree the Samsung F3 500GB drives for $50 are just as compelling (heck, I bought one instead of a 640 for my HTPC), but it's now up to $55, and at that price a 640 Blue is a better buy unless you're going for low noise/heat.

Actually, this deal on the 640 Black for $60 is potentially even better: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136319. Not advertised in the e-mail blast, but very good.
