LOL

Maybe the laptop ram I got the other day was packed by Anand, too. It came wrapped in a giant sheet of bubble wrap, inside a FedEx box shipped UPS ground.

You know, I would accuse Anand, but I'm afraid this order came before he visited. :)

In any case, I'm impressed they checked the board for a complaint. I sent the SO# as requested.

I still buy Newegg. I was just annoyed when I turned on the computer for the 1st time and it wasn't 100%.

I see a lot of good comments about Newegg, but there's a lot of room for improvement in the packing and shipping area.

FedEx is *usually* better. But that was not the case for the Wacom tablet I ordered from Newegg. Inside the shipping box, the product was sitting on top of foam peanuts, not surrounded by them, so one entire side of the product was open to damage. Of course, it was damaged. Newegg replaced it without much fuss, but I had to pay return shipping. Not a good policy.

I am always very nervous about buying from Newegg. Packing is very suspect. You never know what condition things will arrive in. And your stuck with shipping cost if it has to go back. Makes you think seriously about just paying extra at a local store.

And there's something else. Has anyone else ever felt that what they purchased from Newegg did not seem new, but previously opened and/or handled?? It's happened to me a few times. Cardboard box tabs, tape, plastic bags, twisties, etc -- you can tell when things like that have been opened and repacked. Not to mention little hints of wear on the product.

I don't know what to make of it.
