0/1/2 day free shipping + great return policy + great customer service = I still spend hundreds every month on Amazon and never hesitate to buy > $100 items.
It's not like ya'll are supposed to skip out on the sales tax anyway.
Doesn't everyone?![]()
Most of my Amazon Prime orders take 2 days. Some I get in 1 day but that's rare. Amazon return policy is great but you have to pay for return shipping if it's not Amazon fault. Shoprunner has free shipping and free returns. That's better than Amazon. With Amex and Shoprunner, I'm covered 100% if I have any issues.
You can keep ordering from Amazon and continue to pay more for the privilege. I'll stick to free Shoprunner and no sales tax and lower price.
Oh yeah, for buying computer goods, Newegg has the best interface to find what you want and the specs and pictures to actually make a sale. Amazon's description and specs might as well be: "We think this is a video card, or a toaster, it's one or the other". My problem with purchasing from Newegg comes solely from their shipping. Order a $180 4TB Seagate NAS hard drive, takes 10 days to get here from USPS. Order a $24 drive cage and it gets here in two days via UPS. 3-Day shipping should be their bottom of the barrel free shipping option. 90% of their things can fit in a USPS flat rate box, $7 anywhere in the US 2-3 days. Though they probably get better bulk rate than that from UPS/FedEx.

Cuz when you buy from amazon your processing time is measured in minutes, not days.
I disagree. In my experience, Amazon is notorious for sitting on an order because they know it will ship from a warehouse that's close by, which means that if they wait an extra day, I'll still get it in my delivery window. Newegg doesn't do this. I placed an order at Newegg on Monday at 10:40 AM and had a tracking number in less than two hours. I placed an order very, very early this morning (something like 4 AM), and I had a tracking number by 9:45 AM. Both packages shipped from the local warehouse, and I get them the next day.
I've only ever had Newegg sit on a single package for seemingly no reason one time (and they sat on it for a good 3-4 days), which was a bummer as it was a component that I needed rather than something that was not fairly necessary at the time.
Yeah, I agree. It took Newegg a whole hour and a half to issue me a tracking number for an order I placed this morning. Oh well....I'm going to go ahead and blame them for me not getting it tomorrow because of the holiday anyway.I swear, people are slacking these days...
1) They don't do it if you're a prime member
2) Newegg does it (or used to) do it all the time with their fedex super saver shipping. I live 1 hour away from their City of Industry OG location, and they NEVER got you an order in less than 3 days with super saver shipping.
eBay fail... BIN something yesterday around late morning with a shipping estimate of July 11th or so on it, seller had a FedEx (ground presumably) tracking number to me by early afternoon. FedEx says it's out for delivery as of this morning.
Yes, they do. I've been a prime member for years, and they tend to sit on my order more often that not.
