Ive tried alot of clients on many speeds of machine. While i also dont think SETI is worth my computing time i have found it to run well on the speed of machine you have. Distributed Folding would be a good choice as would F@H. i have even run D2OL on a 233 P2 with good stability, although slow, you can do other things. As far as your Win98 Service question. Most will run in the system tray but Win98 doesnt work like Win2K or XP. If youre that concerned about permissions and running it as a service, then install Win2k in that machine and increase the overall stability of it anyway 🙂 Ive done a few covert installs on work and school systems behind the backs of the IT department in my time.
