New WinMe contest

I got WinMe from the sweepstakes today, but it was weird. Yesterday Airborne Express left a message (complex intercom goes to my phone) about a delivery but didn't leave any tag or tracking number. I wasn't expecting a package at all. Called Airborne, but they couldn't trace it without the tracking number, so I left them my work number. Today Airborne called me that they're leaving the package in front of my door. I asked the rep who sent the package, she said Microsoft. I immediately thought it's from the sweepstakes, but I didn't even know I had won it. Microsoft should have at least sent an email!

When I got home today, I saw the CD in cardboard package, the quick start guide, and the boot floppy in front of my door. NO BOX, NO ENVELOPE, NO NAME, NO ADDRESS. Did Microsoft just give Airborne boxes of these items with a separate name list and said "here, hand these out"? Does anyone else have similar experience? I don't think anyone would have taken the box/envelope and left me with the essentials.
 
your experience is funny. for me, it was just normal USPS. it didn't have my name on it, but there was this large browny envolop, and stuff were inside.

maybe your neighbor was in a hurry to get a large envelop 😀🙂
 
A number of people have said they've gotten Windows ME sent to them even though they never knew that they won. I was just curious if their names are now posted on the winmesweeps website and they just haven't checked it lately. Or did is Microsoft just feeling generous and sending out more copies because of all of the "technical difficulties" they had with the contest.
 
I think it's just people didn't care to check if they win (just like me)

Same here. After I got it, I found my name on the list. The bad thing is that the list is not alphabetized, so you have to scan
through each day's list, not knowing which day you had won it.
