Then why does stomach stapling work?
It doesnt always... and when it does work, it forces those people to eat far less than normal people eat.... thus exactly what I said...

a fat person eating less than what they normally eat would require nothing but
discipline which the majority of them dont have. thats why they can't stop eating stuff and continue to be unhealthy.
it is very possible for them to eat a healthy portion of food that will fill them up a healthy amount, but they choose not to, and they "LACK DISCIPLINE!" (like ahnold says).
Read my posts... a large quantity of fat people, have the same eating/exercising habits as the overwhelming majority of people. These people have to practice the discipline that YOU probably don't have in order to stay NORMAL.

that is BS. i realize certain people have different metabolisms than others. that still dosen't mean the person with the slow metabolism shouldn't exercise just because the one with faster metabolism doesn't have to. and if he doesn't exercise, and starts to gain weight, then i would call that lazy because he knows he's gaining weight but isn't doing anything about it. also, if they started to exercise their metabolism would start to get faster.
and FYI, i have been working out pretty consistantly, with the exception of the summers (while in school cause i was off campus for the summer so i wouldn't go as much, but now i graduated), for the past 4 years. i am 9-5 job right now. i still go to the gym 4 times a week. i do each muscle group 1 time a week, and as of now, i cut out cardio because i am trying to GAIN weight. I am 5'11 and up to 186lbs, trying to get to around 190-195, then i am going to go on a lean cycle.
and i hate to break it to you, but i actually DO have discipline, and i KNOW what i'm doing because i'm not LAZY and read up on what i should and shouldnt do in order to be fit.
EDIT: and dude, you must be a monster! you are 6'3 and 330lbs, that is massive! and no, i am not saying that in a bad way. i think its pretty awesome how some of those line men are so huge, like how they don't even look cut and what not, but they are solid as a rock. that is very impressive, good job
6'5"....
What I'm saying is... people are so quick to dismiss fat people as a bunch of lazy lard asses... but the fact is, they are not. They are average americans, whose genetics dictate that they can't afford to be average.
Biiig difference between that and lazy...
I see those people and I understand when you say it disgusts you. But unlike you, I realize how incredibly easy it is to fall into that trap. I work out 3-4 times a week.. which is just maintaining my weight right now... I need to diet again to drop more weight... but damn I'm not looking forward to that... the body seeks to maintain it's weight which leads to extreme levels of hunger. If I can drop down to 270... I'll be ripped like a superstar

That and I'm trying to get my bench up... I'm doing 10 reps with 315 now.... my objective is a max of 500, and reps with 405....

good luck on your goal. i still disagree. if this is so genetic, then how come people weren't this huge 100 years ago? When I see pictures of my grandfather with other troops from ww2 there are no fat people there? if it was all genetic, then the people today were decendants of them, so they wouldn't be fat also ... if we use your whole genetic theory.
im not saying it is not genetics at all... of course it is. but this comes into my other post. this is the problem because if you are born into a family where your parents are fat, you, as the child, are obviously going to start bad eating habits from a young age, and become a fat person just like your parents are. if you read my previous post, i said parents are the root of this problem sometimes, and i feel bad for kids who get fat because of their parents. however, this does not mean once you are old enough to learn you can't change your eating habits, and get discipline to not eat unhealthy stuff.
trust me dude i know, i have been pretty
ripped at one point. It was hard for me to get that way because yes, you have to eat certain things. and me personally, i have a sweet tooth. in that pic i am about 172lbs or so, with like probably between 6-7% body fat. it was hard to eat properly for the month or 2 i was on the strict diet. but i had DISCIPLINE to do it, because I wanted to. if people have discipline they can do it. its not impossible. i know its hard, but if it was easy then EVERYBODY would be ripped or skinny.
now i'm 186lbs or so and i've gained alot of muscle, and im trying to gain more before i get ripped again. anyways, i'm off to taco bell

since i'm on my bulk cycle, i am eating ANYTHING!
