<< DAMN I STARTED THIS TO TALK ABOUT THE V5 DRIVERS AND LOOK AT WHERE IT WENT>....I WONDER HOW LONG THIS THREAD WILL GET BEFORE ITS LOCKED??? >>
Calm down man, I already answered the V5 questions, so did other people.
<< You mean pop singers? Because you can't be talking about rock singers, who often write entire albums on their own. >>
yes that is what I meant. Look at Ricky Martin, he doesn't write anything.
<< Because they won't be. Most pop-tart songs have a lifespan of about a year maximum or however long the band takes to split up, whichever comes first. Quickly, without looking at your albums tell me the most popular pop-albums that came out in 1990/1991 (nine-ten years ago), and also tell me which "hit singles" off those albums you still listen to, or that even have radio airtime. >>
Well, That's gonna be tough for me to do. I'm only 16 buddy, so in 90 I was 6 years old. I didn't start to really listen to music until about 3 or 4 years ago. But my friend who is a mainstream DJ like myself could easily do that, and he does still listen to them.
<< Their harmony is NOT something that happens by accident though anyone has to say that they are a "manufactured" band in the sense that the fat pedophilic closet homosexual from Florida who launched them and iN-stink (as well as his new one, O-Town, whatever the fsck that is) just puts together voices and markets them really well. >>
While I agreed with more of your points, this one is not true, at least in the Backstreet Boys' case. I already explained how they began. And the group doesn't just become popular because he is good at his job and has alot of marketing. Look at LFO, he started them up last year or 2 years ago, where are they now? Nowhere to be found. It really lies in talent.
<< People listen to it because they like it, not because they have some marketing BS forced down their throat. >>
What are you talking about? I have all the popular music of today, yet my favorite is pop. So it's not like I'm influenced by marketing...another thing about marketing....Lou Bega got hundreds of commercials on MTV before his album was released, guess what, he's nowhere now. More proof that talent has a liiittlle something to do with it.
I'm enjoying this guys, I so love being right! Keep em comin! 🙂
