Hi. Looking to get a new Verizon contract this year, so I'm looking for a new phone. Here are my preferences:
1. Something that plays music pretty well. I'm willing to add a MicroSD card, but I want to be able to navigate the songs easily without changing my music collection much, and I'd like to be able to easily use my standard headphones to play. I pretty much want something convenient to listen to music to and from work on the subway without carrying my iPod all the time.
2. I don't text and don't want to buy any data plans, so I have no use for internet or a keyboard. I almost never use a camera, never use video, don't care about ringtones, etc. etc. etc.
3. I'd like a smaller phone. I'm used to flip and would probably prefer it, but from the reading I've done this year it sounds like Verizon's latest crop of flip phones aren't the best.
I'd also like to stay on the cheap end, which I think my preferences will coordinate with.
Thanks a lot for the advice! It's hard to get a sense of the music navigation/headphone compatibility from online descriptions, and it's hard to figure that stuff out in-store.
Also--my family and I all currently have RAZR V3s, and with our offer V3ms are free. My parents do nothing on their phones but make calls--is this a serivicable phone? I've heard complaints about Verizon's UI, but not sure if it only annoys the hardcore users that complain. If it's decent, would like to keep them on a similar phone (compatible chargers, etc.). If that phone would be good enough for my usage I wouldn't mind it, either.
THANKS!
