From what I was reading over on Gizmodo and as I understand the current situation, its only the LiMetal batteries that they are concerned about in your carryon. Most other batteries are fine in your carryon luggage; this makes sense if they are trying to stop the lithium batteries from exploding in the cargo bay.... Giz link with handy table

When I flew through Korea to China I was amazed and how quick, efficient, and pleasant going through security was. I didn't take of my shoes. I didn't take my laptop or camera out of my bag. I just took my coat and belt off, put my stuff in the X-Ray, and walked through.

Then again in South Korea the government isn't trying to remind you that they can send anyone they please to Gitmo like here in the good ol' US of A.
