I hate them all.
In Portland they let me take on my nice little Colibri lighter. On my trip back the guys at the DC (Dulles) security point said I could NOT bring it on. Piss-poor organization FTL!
My mom had already dropped me off and driven away.
I stepped out of line and tossed it in the garbage. I know darn well if I had let them "confiscate" it then some sorry-ass TSA agent would have got themselves a nice new lighter for Christmas.
I'd rather it be garbage than belong to garbage.
Colibri lighters are nice, and IIRC the ban on carrying lighters has ben lifted. They were most probably trying to "confiscate" the lighter to add to their personal collection. Assholes.
Im glad you threw it in the garbage instead of giving it to them. Reminds me of a co worker who mistakenly had some expensive cologne in his carry on. Sprayed-out the entire thing right in the TSA area before chucking it in the bin. LOL he said it took him a good 7 minutes and the place had a hardcore cologne smell as he left.
