One more ugly vote from me!~

I don't know but that nailboard seems so not-high-tech....

First off, who cares if it's ugly? It's inside your case... Unless you've got a window, and are that anal about your hardware appearance. Second, I spent $90 on my last CPU, so I'd never drop $50 for a HS. I guess if you have the money and are buying a $400 CPU, then trying one of these would be ok. The copper base is big and nicely lapped. Thumbs up on that. Gotta give Swiftech credit for trying out a different design. Nice try. Nobody's been able to topple Thermal Right as the best HS maker, though.

I don't care how much my CPU is, I'd spend that kind of money...if I thought it would be worth it. At the moment, I doubt this AX-7 can be bested as far as keeping the CPU safe and quiet.
$90 CPU (when it was new), $30 HS/F + SK-7 that I got, so really overall I've probably spent over $50...and I'm happy with the noise.
However, given my limited experience with various heatsinks, I'd at least go as far as waiting for Thermalright to put out a socket 754/940/939 heatsink before I upgraded :).
The biggest problem I'd have with the Swiftech is that the entire weight is on the socket...I wouldn't feel safe bringing the machine downstairs to the workbench! And with cheap mobos having bolt holes...not a hard decision, IMO. PAL8045, SLK-800u, SLK-900u.
