That's what 10 years on the same site will do I guess. Sometimes I wish they could reset my post count to zero. Having this many posts has kind of a stigma attached to it and that's not necessarily a good thing.

Part of my mind thinks wow that's impressive, the other thinks, wow, that's depressing.

AT is great for advice. There are numerous professionals in various facets of life.
Ask a question and you will get a lot of good answers.
It's up to you to learn who gives good advice, and who simply googles answers trying to look smart.

Regardless, it is nice to get semi-instant opinions on various topics.
We are a hive mind!

Who are googles? :hmm:

Okay, you don't get to comment on my life until you have at least 10,000 posts. :p

I actually have a life outside of here believe it or not. I spend some down time during work posting on here and then again in the evening. 16 posts a day isn't that many really... and I'm a fast typer.

Denial, in ordinary English usage, is asserting that a statement or allegation is not true.[1] The same word, and also abnegation, is used for a psychological defense mechanism postulated by Sigmund Freud, in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence.[2][3] The subject may use:

simple denial: deny the reality of the unpleasant fact altogether

minimisation: admit the fact but deny its seriousness (a combination of denial and rationalization)

projection: admit both the fact and seriousness but deny responsibility by blaming somebody or something else.
