Hi, I was just wondering what the best PSU would be for my new system.
I dont want to spend more than 150 on the PS. This is the system that it will be running:
DFI Lanparty Ultra D NEO4
AMD 64 3200+
1GB PC3200 RAM 512x2
40GB WD 2MB cache IDE
200GB WD 8MB cache IDE
74GB WD 8MB cache SATA
MSI Geforce 6600 GT 128MB
Zalman 7700 HS
7 Sunon 80mm fans
1 Lite-On 24X Cd burner
1 Creative Labs DVD player (i think)
I have been looking at these PSUs:
Zippy/Emac :
1. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-708&depa=0
2. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-706&depa=0
OCZ:
3. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-150&depa=0
4. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-152&depa=0
Enermax:
5. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-437&depa=0
6. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-458&depa=0
Fortron
7. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-934&depa=0
Also anything by Topower or Tagan. I'm looking for solid brands that have proven themselves. Reason I am hesistant about the OCZ. They are good from what I've read, but they had a lot of issues early on and haven't proven themselves yet (years of quality).
I know this thread has been put out there again and again - but I'm so lost as to which is really a good PS and why. I am looking mainly for 24 pin. Very good amperage, sturdy and reliable, very reliable, and with a lot of room to grow. I plan on using this PS for the next 2-3 years. More if possible. Please help!
PS I may/will be doing some minor OCing
Thanks,
Doyle
