New Steam profile and trading cards, oh my!

Or get the cards and craft them into some Steam feature like emocons or wallpapers.....or in-game exclusive items like the +1000 Sword of Gabe found in Dota 2.
 
the cards are one time drops, there wont be anymore coming unless you spend over $9 at the steam store. at least for tf2 that is.
 
Can anyone explain these a little better to me?

Out of my games, I have two games where I received more than 1/2 the available drop amount - for example, in Binding of Isaac which you can get 5 drops, I got 6 cards the first night - 4 cards, 1 duplicate, and 1 foil card.

My main question - can you receive duplicates of cards you already have, if you have no card drops remaining? I have three out of eight (not half) and one duplicate (half of total number available) from FTL; if I keep playing, will I receive more cards? If not, can you explain how I got 6 cards in Binding of Isaac?

You are only suppose to get x number of cards from each game. Why you received more than what it said you should get I have no clue, awesome bug perhaps?

You can receive duplicates of cards, I have one friend that got 3 of the same card as 3/4 of her card drops (she was a bit pissed as you can imagine lol).
I've gotten doubles a few times myself.

I think he received a "booster pack" of three extra cards, one foil, one new and one duplicate.
 
Wow....i feel like the fun killer, but WTF are people paying cash for an innate worthless digital picture? The world is fvcked up.

dont use it.. there is NO GAME in the world worth '"painfully".. I mean I would never sit and wait for a download if it was painfull. I go do something else.. but I wont USE Origin (so I understand), I'm thinking you could take your stand and not use STEAM.. couple games I would like to play but wont.. my life has not changed.. in fact hearing about my mother a few times less during gameplay has been quite nice by missing BF4.
 
i dont know... but i've made about 8 bucks idling 2 hours at the games that drop cards an selling them...
 
how do you sell cards? can people transfer funds directly from wallet to wallet or are you guys doing paypal transactions?
 
in your inventory....click on the card you want to sell...and there is a button that says "sell"... click on it, and check the latest price it had on the chart... and done 😛

you cant do wallet to wallet transfer... the money on your wallet works for buying steam stuff, be it games, dlcs or market things

nice, i checked the other night and i only had the beta card. I'll probably start idling for some free monies.
