New Signature Rule, error?

If you want to protest this move, feel free to copy my current sig. It succinctly compares the moderators to a certain political movement.
Sadly, I had to remove some characters, because the sig editor said that 500 characters was max.
(Even though we are allowed 6 lines of 90 characters each, which is 540 characters. So not only is there a limit, but the limit is a lie. There's another hidden limit in there.)





We've been very patient here. Many knew that they had a month to change.

You didn't change it in that grace period. Fine. We are sending cordial PMs that the grace period is over.

Now you want to complain and cause even further work for us, by calling for all members to put that protest in their sig.

Just stop.

This was nothing about political statements by us or stopping members from posting them. The matter was there were just too many lines. It looks messy. You get to put in your 6 lines, what you don't get to do it call out the mods in your sig by this.

Is this not six lines? When I copy and paste it into Notepad, it is six lines.
When I maximize my browser, and look at this post, it is six lines.

No, it's not because when you post the quote it takes up 5 lines all by itself. Your last line (the FS link) takes up 2 lines as it is 125 characters, over the 90 per line limit, giving a total of 11 lines.

Ok, I changed my sig to something short. Can someone explain why, in this thread, my first three posts show my new sig, but the last post doesn't show any sig?
