Ok before I couldnt walk around the block without my back fing killing me. after .5 of a block it felt like a knife was stabbing me in my back the pain was unbareable. Now that I switched to a new pair of sneakers the pain is gone. I can go all the way around the block plus some and still be ok. Is this normal could all the pain have been from my shoes. There nice dress shoes/boots. But if I put on my dads new sneakers there is no pain at all. This is very unusual in my eyes. So what do you guys think.

The ankle affects everything upstream. If you have significant foot issues then yeah, that sounds about right. It doesn't automatically make you healed though so keep that in mind. If you pick up more activity, you'll definitely have to work slowly into it.
