The Enzo has floor mounted pedals by the way. I agree about the sequential shifter, though.Originally posted by: ElFenix
i don't like floor hinged pedals... too much like using thrustmaster pedals... dash mounted shifters suck too. ferrari for me please.

And the shifter is way up there so your hands are closer to the steering wheel when you are done shifting. You don't want to move your right hand 24" versus 8" when shifting at over 100mph,

Read people, READ
Most high-performance supercars these days have sequential shifters with paddles behind the steering wheel. That makes shifting pretty easy as you don't have to take your hands away from the steering wheel when shifting.
The Carrera GT has a regular manual transmission so the shifter is mounted high up on the dash for easier access during quick maneuvers. It makes perfect sense.

As for the dash, looks like it's right out of the 911 (996). Not surprised though as there's nothing wrong with it (as you can see). Not the first time they did this either as the 959 actually had like the exact same interior as a 964.

Umm, the Carrera GT's dash looks nothing like the 911's dash.
The 911's dash looks like trash in comparison.

(1), it's a 6-speed manual...not a sequential. Notice, three pedals on the floor
(2), Technokid explained up above why the shifter is mounted so high:

Yeah, the guages are pretty damn similar:Originally posted by: Scootin159

Sorry, I meant to say the instrument panel.
Yes the whole dash is VERY different, but the instrument panel looks like it might even be the same part.
As for the 959/964 comparison...in that case it is pretty much the whole interior.
Sorry, my post was a bit ambigious. I meant the lack of a sequential shifter, since Elfenix was commenting about the crappiness of dash mounted shifters. I was agreeing with his preference to the Enzo's paddle-style.Originally posted by: NFS4
