New pc audio setup. Need advice

I have just purchased a new sound card(Audigy 2 ZS) and new speakers(Logitech z680).
Gaming and watching dvd movies on my computer is my main interest. Both items are being shipped.

What i would like to know,what is the best setup. Do I need to purchase anything Can I have both analog and digital connected.? How? Will there be a problem with both items having decoders?

I would appreciate any help. Thanks
