To be fair, baseball season is young.

I don't know much about Toronto's teams except the Raptors. I don't know what happened there. Are they financially secure at least? I'm still not sure if Indy will manage to keep the Pacers unless they build on their playoff appearance this year and become a perennial power again like they were in the mid-90s to the mid-2000s.

I don't think any of the Toronto pro teams will ever be in trouble. Lots of big firms buy season seats here.

That's the problem with Indy -- we have the population to support the teams but lack a large corporate presences. I think we only have 2 Fortune 500 corporate HQs.

Otherwise, we would've probably landed a major league team by now. I remember when there was a push in the 80s to expand to Indy -- if that plan had worked, I wouldn't have a house now because the proposed stadium location would've butted up against my neighborhood.

Bad news for the Celtics though, they aren't getting any younger, so the Heat will probably become the dominant team to beat in the East.

I read a satire piece saying LeBron should receive the NBA MVP for every year he was in Cleveland. In addition to the MVP awards already given out.

Toronto City population > Indianapolis Metro Population

Also, outside of Indiana, who cares much about their teams? Ohio, Illinois, Michigan... they all have their own teams. Outside Toronto, what does Canada have? Polar bears! :p

Actually, there is a lot more Canada Geese than Polar Bears.

The Colts actually do have a large national following -- they're always in the top 5 in terms of most popular franchises.

The Pacers? Well, that's a more interesting conversation. Indy has the only NBA franchise south of Chicago/Cleveland and north of Memphis, so I imagine NBA fans in southern Illinois, southern Ohio, Kentucky, and maybe Missouri follow them. That is, when they're good -- now that they are just a mediocre franchise, I can't imagine anyone being a huge fan. They do have the best arena in the NBA though but ironically, that's a large part of their financial problems. I blame Ron Artest. :D

9000 square feet penthouse. The developers threw in a unit in the next tower for the house staff.

People forget that in 2004 (IIRC), the Pacers were the heavy favorite to win the NBA championship and then Artest decided to go brawl in the crowd in Detroit. That single situation literally destroyed the franchise and 7 years later, it is just now recovering.

I wonder how the waitstaff will get to the penthouse in time to respond to a summon.
