Most girls have this bizarre sense of self-importance and therefore they think hundreds of people are just dying to attend their wedding.

Well she only wants to invite 40 - 50 people to the wedding if we have it here in the states. If we have it in india it's going to be about 15 - 20 people.

They've been raised since they were little that this is supposed to be the happiest day of their life, and they're a little princess, but this is the princess's most special day, and they, and everyone else they have ever met, should know about it and cherish it forever.

It looks like our flights + small wedding + 2 receptions is around $8k.
I currently have $5k saved up for wedding and $2k saved up for the ring. I don't really know how much a setting costs.

It was. She shares my opinion that it is a waste to have that many people. Ours was really nice and we had open bar at our reception and filet mignon too.
