If the basement had another foot to the ceiling and another 20 square feet, it'd be no question.

Hell, just for the foot to the ceiling, that'd settle the question, and I'd make the floor space work.

Removing the ceiling joists is not an option, and that wouldn't do anything for the overall peak height that is measured between them.

The floor should really be ground down to flatten it, but then it loses 3/4" to the rubber pads.

So in between them becomes about 91", but that space is only 15" wide, so it requires precise aim.

Okay, it's actually 86" to bottom of joists, 93" to the high points. The center of my fist is 85.5" high at lockout.

If I do OH press outside, I might as well just go over to building in the shed.

As for what it is, if you didn't just look it up, it's done standing, push bar all the way over your head to full extension.

The garage doesn't have floor space available, nor is it any taller. It's a rather low ceiling garage.

Six inches would actually be enough to give me what I need here, not even a full foot. It's just enough.
