Jesus - do you ever stop? The fact that he was speaking to businesses and business owners means NOTHING.
No, it means everything

So you don't think it's appropriate for the President, the highest government office in America, to say that government does good things? Do you think it's inappropriate when Apple tells you the iPhone is the best phone on the planet?
Government provided?? With what money? Sourced from who? Built by who?
You act like this all knowing being "the government" waved a wand and gave us all roads and ways to thrive.
We are not pets in a cage, with a caretaker. We built the roads, we paid for them, ("We" as in, everyone in society, not just business owners).
Lol - the point is clearly that without the mechanisms at the governments disposal, this never would have happened.
Let me ask you this - do you think you should pay taxes?
Why he is trying to explain or apologize for saying what he really believes? This has been a constant message from Obama and the left - that only thanks to government is any kind of success possible for they are the ones that "allow" it. He really believes what he said, it's part of who and what he is. You'll even see it in this thread as the liberals scramble to justify what he said, as they honestly believe the same thing. It's the mind of the liberal, it's one of their core beliefs.
All you have to do is pay attention to obama's words, deeds and actions and his constantly offensive statements will come as no surprise any longer, may great fuck be upon him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------As a business owner, I found his comments highly offensive even in the context of roads/bridges/infrastructure/whatever.
I understood his point, I'm not saying it's not true; I'm saying that it's highly inappropriate and offensive, and a clearly stupid thing for him to say.
🙄 at your question.

Unfortunately, we're talking about America here, where most morons are satisfied with watching the race while drinking a beer while holding their dear precious little handgun.
'Murica, fuck yeah!

Why is it inappropriate and offensive? Your business benefits from things that the government and other people built, also from help from others.
The comments weren't that businesses simply benefit from roads built by Americans.
It was specifically worded in an offensive way, if you don't see why then I'm not sure what to say that will change your mind.
It's like telling an olympic athlete who just won a gold medal that they didn't win that due to their hard work, but instead it was won due to the training provided by their instructors. Is it true? Sure. But, it's an inappropriate and offensive thing to say.

He didn't say anything nearly as extreme as you're implying. To say that government programs helped business owners along is not an insult to businesses, it's just the truth. He never said that government is the sole gatekeeper to success.

If Obama said no wrong or it is easily understood what he means without blinders on, then this rebuttal ad wouldn't even exist.
It's not what he said
It's not what he said more so that he only said it to businesses and felt they need to be reminded over workers. If he would have said it to/about cashiers, you would see a bunch of cashiers upset asking why they got singled out?
I guess Obama felt the need to provide some more "context" on his own terms. Perhaps a bit embarrassing, but smart as this should allow the topic to go away on (hopefully) favorable terms since before his words were a real drag on his prospects.

Because the country is full of fucking idiots and shameless liars, that's why.
ROFLMAO!
Keep giving us more context. The more we hear the worse this Fool sounds. He should shut up but it's beyond this capabilities.
