Doesn't mention specs (what I suspect everyone here is interested in), 🙂 but I'd reckon it's going to use the current MS optical sensor. Looks nice though, I would surely want one if they're not priced at exorbitant amounts of cash. Release date appears to be September 15. Perhaps will be announced next week.

i had one of MS's original Wireless Optical Mouse Blue's, but it started getting horrible battery life (like an hour) so i sent it back and i got one of their newer revisions (tilt wheel, ergonomic, etc) its now in an old pc and now i have a wireless optical desktop set (same mouse, but has w/less kboard), this new thingy they are advertising is pathetic, i doubt its authentic

Wow, the AT forums are not too much into designed products. 🙂 As I said I like it. I'm kinda surprised you guys think it is ugly and most of you have the MX500/700 which when looked at from the front right looks like a mantis.
 
What a dumbass mouse from MS. They used to have nice ones too.

I use the original Logitech Laser mouse, version 2 (the Red One). Kicks ass.

I have a black version which is a little better sitting in backup for when this one fails. Even Logitech changed their design to go with a stupid one now too.
 
High, don't get me wrong, I like the MXs - I have an MX700 and I very much like the way it feels in my hand (although I don't use it at all since it's too heavy), but what I'm saying is that when looked at from a certain angle it too can look ugly to some.
