You got her the wrong car....women don't seem to like it. I have a few new Mazda 6's (and i've been driving a different color one everyday) but it doesn't seem to be attracting any attention from the ladies.

Currently driving the burnt orange one...ehhe for those ATOT people that know where I live.

Hopefully you got the stick. The auto trans is horrible.

yep its the five speed.

its funny that you say that about women though -- the salesperson that i talked to actually commented that around 75% of the people they have sold have been to women.

perhaps it varies by region.

so now how did you manage to get a so many 6's that you can swap them out every day. thats crazy man. you must really like the car :D

I'd wait till you get home from the Airport so you guys have time to talk about her trip and her flight home. Then as you're pulling up to your driveway, have the keys to her new car in a small box wrapped with the car in the driveway nice and sparkling.

this is actually something i'm taking into consideration -- becuase i know she's going to have so much to say and be so excited to share her ireland stories -- i dont wnat to immediately take away from that by giving the car the spotlight.

however-- i really want to be able to give it to her as soon as possible. :)

as far as the giant bow goes -- i was actually thinking i could find a way to make it myself .. somehow.

I know how hard it will be to keep under wraps...but I think it'll go over well if you wait to get home.

By the way...nice car...and unlike Brandon, I like the rear spoiler on the Mazda 6.

Not a bad idea. You can play the matchbox m6 as a joke acting like you would have l liked to get that for her...and then really surprise her when she gets home with the real car.

If I were to do it, I would do a combination of 1/2 and 3. Do the whole parking lot routine, but have the bow on it and make a comment that somebody must really love their S.O. to go through with that. Then continue through the parking lot 'looking' for the Altima. When you can't find it, then you honk the horn that leads you back to the 6

Not sure if this would work as it would require some help from the dealer. But you could always ask the dealer you bought the car from if you could leave the car in thier lot. Then you could take the time to listen to her stories and all that, maybe even go out to dinner. Then on your way back drive by the dealership(again if its out of the way then thats a problem). I guess you could mention to her that you happened to see the car she wanted at the local dealer and ask if she wanted to check it out. Take her out there and show it to her. At this point in time there are several ways you could go.

1. Put her personalized plates on it and see if she notices
2. Ask her if she would like to test drive it, then watch the look on her face when instead of going to get the sales person you use the key fob to open the doors and toss her the keys.
3. I'm sure there are many other options, but its getting late and I got to go to bed.

Good luck in whatever option you choose, I'm sure it will make her day.

Do the first one, but look around and pretend you can't find it. Than admire the Mazda 6 and say lets steal it since you can't find yours. Than you proceed to open the door and I dunno I'm really bored.

Put cheezy bullet hole stickers on 6.

Pick her up in the 6 and yell at her to hurry since you don't know where it came from/got a great deal from some "guy"/etc

Hilarity ensues.

Also, congrats on the new car

#1!

if not then #3...

I'd say do it at home with it sitting in the driveway or garage. You can benefit immediately afterward too. ;)

Seconded. No risk from having her drive after being jetlagged and on a long flight. Gives her some time to unwind from the flight and talk about stuff. Then you get some hot steamy action after showing her at home!

Cheers
heh...I like that idea.

Nice car, btw. I prefer my black, though. :p

Pick her up normally, park the Mazda down the road a little way (out of sight).
Tie a big bow on it.
Go for a nice walk after you get back, and talk about holiday.
"Accidentally" find a new car round the corner.
Comment on it, and the bow, say "Oooh, looks like someone's getting a new car".
Give her new car keys (from pocket).

for all intents and purposes she's my fiance', getting married next summer (about a year off).... this car is sort of like a birthday / engagement present.
