I didn't notice a revision on mine but I've had no "lag" problem at all.
Just take yours back to OM and go to BB and pricematch.

for me, the rev was on the cd envelope.

<shrug> maybe there are two different ones. all i know is mine does have the set down delay. like i said, try picking it up and setting it down at 45 degree angle and see if it continues to travel or takes a half second to respond. if you just do a straight up and straight down then move, its really hard to notice the delay. while gaming, i'm constantly doing the angled set down, not just a straight vertical pickup/set down.

everything else is flawless though.

Just got home. On the package that the cd was in it says Rev 1.4

Just checked mine,it also says Rev 1.4 🙂.

did you both try it like i posted? doing the 45 degree and continued motion? if so, might have to get a rev 1.4. i like the mx1000 personaly and would like to keep it.

I have v1.4 and it has the pickup/setdown delay too. Really annoying! I'm just gonna have to use my MX500 for FPS until there's a fix for this. Somehow, I don't think it can be done with a driver fix.

Thanks de8212 for the tip about the sale price at OfficeMax.

I had just purchased one at BestBuy. I went to OfficeMax got a flyer and went to BestBuy and had them give me $27.50 back. With a $10 rebate on top of that, I now have an $80 mouse for $42.50 -- COOL!!!!!!!!

I just bought a mx 1000!I cant test it right now for the lag but i will tomorow! One qustion plz: how do i use it best on USB or with the adapter on PS2?TY!

I prefer USB with my MX1000,PS/2 will eventually be phased out, make sure you get the latest drivers from Logitech`s website.

There is no lag problem here!Have 1.4 rev and i try the lag problem about 30 mins in windows(not in FPS dont have that kind of games yet)!I pick it up put it back quik, again and again and the milisecond i put the mouse back on the pad the cursor moves again! 🙂!Great mouse so smooth a bit heavy but i had a light mouse so that must be the problem!

I thought abouit it and went for USB mode!I dont play very much(not FPS) so i think i wont need the USB hack!Think 125Hz is enought for now!
What do u think should i switch to PS2 and go for 200Hz?Will i notice a slight diference?
I installed the mouse(latest software) on USB so i think switching to PS2 will screw up the mouse drivers...

Any ideas plz?

If you`re happy with USB mode and have no problems why change?.....As to those PS/2 (200Hz) hacks,I`ve read they do use more CPU usage when you increase the frequency rate.

Yea i am hapy with USB but maybe i can get the mouse 2 move better!better than now and i dont know!
Hmm maybe i will stick 2 USB if u say PS2@200Hz uses more Cpu!

You get a better smoother/quicker response with some teflon tape/pads on the MX1000 mouse feet .I recommend you try that.

When i dont use it where do i put it?I leave it on the pad or i put in on the station without the powercord,so the mouse dont gets recharded every time i pui it on the station??

Well if it`s low on battery charge back in the charger 😉,if not then you can leave it on your desk since it does power down.

And i was refering 2 the time when its fully charged!Ok i wil leave it on the table i saw it powers off by itself!Just thinking 2 put it on the station so he is confy 😀

lol. this is a lithium battery. you dont have to worry about the battery cells that have memory and would die out when you recharged when they weren't drained. you can charge it anytime and it'll last. don't worry about it. even then logitech would replace it for you. just set it wherevery you want. just don't let it drain itself when its on low too long or else thatd hurt your battery more.

I recently got a MX1000 from Logitech as a RMA replacement for my MX700 and unfortunately it has the set down delay as well. There's nothing printed on the paper sleeve the CD came in so I don't know what revision mine is. Any other numbers that could differentiate the revisions? The plastic pouch that had the CD and instructions has a sticker with the number "631451-0403".

After I'm done my exams i'm gonna try the mouse in games and see how bad the delay affects my gaming. Do you think Logitech would send another replacement for this problem since it seems quite a few of the mouses don't have it?

I just got my MX1000, rev 1.4. It does have the set down delay as well, but I don't ever remember lifting up my mouse even during intensive FPS games (I use most of my table space for the mouse) so I really dun think that's its gonna be a problem for me. I absolutely adore the mouse though, but that might be because I moved to the MX1000 from the old trackballs.

After testing this new mouse from Logitech I can conclude that this is probably one of the best cordless mouse available on the market. It looks very good and professional and it also feels superb. The tracking is as good as (or maybe even better) as the MX700 and normally it should work on some surfaces where the MX700 didn't work on.

Did he get that pictures of mouse or make them with photoshop?

Hmmm probably got them from somewhere else.Btw you do know Logitech have a "1600 DPI" gaming mouse in the near future.
