I already have 1600 DPI mouse, and not going to upgrade just because its logitech mouse. Same as i wont upgrade Radeon 9800 to GeForce 5900 heh pointless.

I was not really referring to you, just pointing out that Logitech will have 1600 dpi mouse in the near future, more competition is always good 🙂,I too have a 1600 dpi mouse (Razer Diamondback) 😉.

Sorry about bumping an old thread, but I think this setdown lag could be fixed with drivers.

Press the connect button on your MX1000 and the setdown lag is gone for about 10 seconds...
Nothing ground-breaking, but possbily a step in the right direction?

How come everyone is so into wireless? I had a wireless optical for three years and switched back to corded with an MX510. Simply because the charger is just wasting yet another outlet around my computer desk, and cordless really offers no advantage whatsoever that I ever saw. It was nice but not necessary.

So, I asked around what the best corded mouse was, and found the MX510. How does the MX1000 compare to the MX510 in terms of performance?

a slightly off topic question

I got the MX900 mouse and battery only last about 5-6 hrs when i leave the mouse out, is it suppose to be that short!!!???? it charges pretty fast, like 20-30 min.. but man it was annoying, killed me in warcraft...

New review dated 4th Jan 2005 for the Logitech MX1000.

Having used a few cordless mice prior to this review, I always found them a bit laggy and lacking the response time of corded mice. But the Logitech MX1000 completely changed how I look at cordless mice.

It not only delivered a super accurate, smooth tracking laser sensor but a look and comfort that I have not experienced in any mouse. The MX1000 proved not only to be the best cordless mouse I?ve ever used but it?s the best mouse period. For this I?d like to award the Logitech MX1000 the SystemCooling Seal of Excellence.
