I've got some in here, and its about 2-3C degree's better than AS3. The Common # amoung everyone that I've talked to is ~2C better.
If you really think about it 2.7grams isn't tiny at all. How many times are you going to apply this to how many cpu's? I for one am glad its smaller, its less waste. If you really need more, pay the 5 extra dollars and get the 22 grams (that's a helluva lotta thermal compound).
Trust me, this stuff is worth it. However if you already have AS3 laying around, I wouldn't go too crazy over paying some extra money for it unless you're running a highly overclocked computer =).
