honestly, i aint really feelin' this album. i like 'get em high' (feat. kweli and common) and 'two words' (feat. mos def), and of course the two singles ('through the wire' and 'slow jamz') and 'all falls down', but i dont really think its the classic everyone is making it seems like it is. i like kanye's production skills like on kweli's 'get by' and alicia keys 'you dont know my name', but as lyricist, i aint feelin' his rhymes. the lyrics are catchy, but after awhile, they become corny. but i admit, i did chuckle at 'oh baby your breath is harsh, cover up your mouth like you got sars'. but, after awhile, the beats get reptitive, the whole gospel/choir hook used a lot, and like i said, he doesnt punch through with his lyrics. so, thats my 2 cents on 'college dropout'.

Have you heard Twista's album yet? Listen to the song Art and Life, it's sick. Kanye supplies the hot beats and Twista unloads the lyrical firepower. IMO, Twista would lyrically murder anyone on the scene right now sides Eminem...

Love is hampered by thought, if you can handle the prospect of
Death - it's as massive a shock. And To intellects, it's a fuc*in' smack in the crotch/
It's a cancer that rots your soul, tosses demons off of the road/
Just use caution and know, that, love ain't nothing but a loss of control.

You should hear the ORIGINAL version of Through the Wire if you think the CD version is bad.
