Dude, that 18 inch sony sounds hella fishy. The 15 inch sony is 450 (400 ebay), the 18 inch is 900 (900 ebay). There's no way in hell that this place, or any other place, couldn't move an 18 inch sony at 700 or so. The company is getting the monitors cheap? They would have to be getting them at 400 or so a pop to sell them at 500 and make any money.

Maybe I'm just pissed because I'm starring at the 15 inch sony (gf won in raffle), but some things sound too good to be true.

Yeh over 200 Items in the past 20 days and a third of the seller's 15 feedbacks are from things purchased not sold. Perhaps the seller needed some quick cash to fund the purchase of that corvette that the he pruchased off of eBay for $30K. This has scam written all over it.

BTW - Best buy and Circuit City di not sell items on consignment through third parties. BB does now have contracts to sell their RMA and returns to an outfit in Atlana, but not these guys.

If what my buddy told me was true (and I've known the guy for awhile), they get about 3 or 4 huge shipments a year with 1500-3000 of each item. This monitor is one of the those items. There is also a HDTV for a $1000 that retails for $3500. Camera that is $500 where retail is $100.

These are items that BB, CC, or other places have too many off. They sell it to them, and they sell it to re-sellers and businesses. Their profit margin on each item is very slim ($10-$100) but they move the stuff quickly. Generally, most things are gone in 30 days. $20 may not be a big enough margin, but if you are selling 2000 of them in a month, you're making a little bit of money.

But, no one knows for sure if it's legit. My buddy just said that it takes a few weeks to get the stuff.
