I laugh at the people ripping on Saints Row 3. Go back to your GTA IV Cousin bowling simulation.

lol.

So if you buy the bundle now at 25 dollars does that mean you'll also get the other rumored games that drop later on?

Is the Saint Row The Third full DLC working? When I did that key it says dead island only but I assume it opens them with SR3 when installed?

Saint's Row 3 is one of the most fun games this entire gen. Anyone who doesn't have it or was thinking about grabbing it, get it now.

Not sure how that doesn't make sense. Some people don't want to pay $50-$60 for games, so they wait until they go down to $20-$30. Pretty simple.

Cause most games people talk that way about are actually worth $60. If you wanna wait months and get all the spoilers plastered on every forum and start playing when the online community is either dead or so grossly over your level that you can't get into it easily that's on you.

How about no. SR3 was utter garbage in the story department and was way too obnoxious and childish. The whole "go out with friends" thing in GTA4 was completely unnecessary and entirely skippable. Although a couple relationships did change certain side mission storylines if you did them.

I agree. SR3 was one of those fun but terrible games.

SR2 was better in basically every single possible way. It was a fun and GOOD game.

Yeah, I'm one of them. I don't play multiplayer games so that issue is meaningless to me.

And to each their own but I couldn't give less of a shit about SR3's story. GTA 4's characters are lifeless, boring, and easily the worst in the series history. SR3 isn't trying to be serious at all, so to complain about the story...they couldn't care less because they never tried to make some serious story. They wanted gamers to have fun, and that's why I play video games.

If SR3 being over the top and childish bothered you that much, then I don't know what to say. We're just not into the same kind of games I guess so there's no point in discussing it further.

Maybe this game is more up your alley:

Right click and do properties on SR3 in steam and look at the DLC tab they were all updated when I bought the bundle.

edit: I mean enabled, steam didn't download the DLC I think it is just part of the client from the get go.

I was unaware you could do that! Thanks, they all show as retail. And I still can't believe people are griping over the games, at 1$ a game I will buy pretty much anything you put in front of me.

I bought Riptide at launch for $39.99, beat it and wasn't disappointed. It isn't a masterpiece, obviously, but it a decent zombie romp.

I recently went back to play the first Dead Island (for the Steam cards) and I was surprised at how much it sucked compared to Riptide.

Anyone who picks up either game for the first time - make sure you download "Dead Island Helper". It will make the experience much, much better. It really is a necessity.

do weapons last more then 3 hits in the expansion.. Dead island was a not a zombie killing game it was a "find a new weapon every 3 hits" game.. or enhance um with crafting and hit um 6 times! (exaggeration, but not far off)

You still have to do repairs but they last much, much longer.

I still wish they would do away with that mechanic but it wasn't really a hindrance in Riptide.

Edit: I should specify that I completed it using Xian with swords & guns. I don't know if other types of weapons are worse but I don't think so.

Risen 2 is really cool.

I was pretty excited about it. Got poor reviews, but there's a style to the Risens. I paid much more than that for it, but haven't barely played it yet.

It really held on to close to list price for a long time.

IMO easily worth the price of the bundle alone if you like the type of game.

I was just checking my e-mail history to see if I already bought Sacred 2 some time, the only game in the bundle I'd want and don't own, and found an embarrassing Gamestop order:

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection $14.99
IL 2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey $19.99
Prototype $19.99
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel $19.99
Dragon Age Origins: Awakening $39.99
God of War: Collection $29.99

Ugh.

Better yet - I haven't even played any of that $118 order yet.

You hit the nail right on the head Super Nintendo Chalmers.

GTA IV was incredibly disappointing. What can you expect from a game that integrates the first 8-ish hours as a tutorial?

At least SR3 went out of its way to deviate from the GTA clones and establish a niche. I can understand it not appealing to some people, but to go outright and say it's terrible and not worth $1? That's just wrong.

new games added!

I'm struggling to decide if I want to pay the money that I can easily afford because I have a backlog of games I already don't play from the Steam Summer Sale. Why didn't I wait a couple months before starting a budget?!

Is it worth annoying my wife to get more games in my backlog?

Not counting the Dead Island Riptide tier, you'll never get these games at this price again. The BTA price is less than what 1 will normally cost on sale.

Your wife is gonna hold your balls over $4.95?

Just tell her it went to charity. Or get one less appetizer/drink the next time you go out with her. Say you're trying to lose weight or something

Well, it's not about the number of dollars spent. It's more about sinking money into something that's not productive, and now there's a budget, she (and I) can see it very clearly that I enjoy throwing money away.

It's not really her, it's me. I want the games, but I feel silly getting games I may never ever play. I just like using her as an excuse for when things aren't perfect and rosy.
