We went to CompUSA today and bought the HP 3450 (not sure about 50 it was 34something) and it connected through usb cable...
So we hook up the USB cable from PC to printer when we come home and I know it was hooked up because the lights on the wire were both green.
Then we try and install the drivers and it says it is not recognized.....
I think I know why though and I need help to resolve it---
Its an old AMD-K6-2 500MHZ computer running Windows 98
I formatted the computer about 6 months ago, and I installed the sound card drivers and video card drivers, but I dont think anything else....Should there be some kind of USB drivers that came with the computer too? Can I download them from online somewhere? I think that the USB has no drivers....
And if it IS one of those things where I need the specific name of the motherboard, If I install XP would it work then?
