Hey, that is a good torture device. Eating one of those would probably kill me. I mean you could use that stuff to fend off bears.

That's probably some stuff that you'd have one taste of and want to smash your face against every solid object around you just to ease the pain.

Do spicy foods affect animals differently than they do humans? We tried putting hot sauce on some things that our dog kept eating, but he seemed to love it.

We use to have a South American Parrot who favorite food was peppers.

Most mammals are affected by peppers. Although, birds and insects have no problem eating any. A friend of mine tossed a Habanero to his dog, he ate it and actually foamed at the mouth for about 5min.

One time.. when I made chili, I used Habanero peppers. I normally do..

But this time, I didn't use latex gloves.. and like an idiot, I de-seeded the peppers using my own fingers getting all that chili juice under the fingernails. It was about 3 days of agony. 3 days. of agony. ouch.

The chili tasted good, though..

I'm a fan of hot food that makes me cry... especially hot wings.

I don't get the attraction of this. I have a friend like this, and every time we get drunk we end up making random food that is mouth-burning spicy. I don't mind hot food, but don't understand why you would want something that causes pain?

I literally crave it.. I always feel great after eating insanely hot wings - it's almost like runners' high. I'm thinking the body releases some sort of endorphines or something..

But, I only like insanely hot food that also tastes good.. A lot of wing places have 'nuclear' or '911' flavors that are just hot but taste like @ss. I typically stay away from those places..

IMO, Buffalo Wild Wings' Blazin' wings and Beef O' Bradies Hot Wing Challenge wings are the best-tasting hot wings I've had. Hooters' 911 wings taste like sh!t.

This is old news, unless I'm missing something.

I can't wait to meet some people who claim to eat bhut jolokias raw like popcorn.

Does anyone here know the record for Habanero eating? Last time I checked it was at 9 or 10.

It's got to be higher than 9 or 10. I grow hot peppers as a hobby and while I don't eat them like I used to, I could eat 10 if I really wanted to. I grow and regularly eat Carribean Reds (a kind of Habanero) for thier excellent flavor, but they are HOT, like 350k-400k units hot.

A neighboring business owner comes buy my work everyday and we swap hot peppers, and this guy can eat me under the table. The last time I challenged him last year he had some GOOD Red Savinas. By the third pepper I was about to die and he was still going strong. He has a knack for growing the hottest peppers around, he's known for it in this area.

I will talk to him Mon and see if he has this new pepper and if not I will grow them. If any of you are manly/stupid enough to try them I can send them out, but I won't be held responsible if they make you cry in front of your kids 😛
