i don't know the exact figure, but i would say the probability is pretty good.

1 - probability of just 1 tail - probability of just 2 tails. I forgot how to calculate those, but I think if you use the nCr (combination) button on your calculator, you can do it 🙂

P(at least 3 tails) = 1 - P(2 or less tails)

start with total possibilities = 2 ^ 15 = 32768

possibilities w/ 0 tails = 1
possibilities w/ 1 tails = 15 c 1 = 15
possibilities w/ 2 tails = 15 c 2 = 105
so P(2 or less tails) = (1 + 15 + 105) / 32768 = 121/32768

P(at least 3 tails) = 1 - 121/32768 = 32647/32768 or 0.9963

hope i didn't make any mistakes... 😛

good for you swai, you've managed to deprive a young learner the opportunity to enjoy the marvel of self-discovery. instead, you've taught him, or encouarged him to beat the system....1 year from now, when he drops out of high school because he failed out, you should be the one paying his welfare check ok?
