hey guys, i am new in pc building. i've been researching a little time and i just can't seem to figure out how i'm gonna build my gaming pc. i have against all odds found some components and build it hypotheticaly with pcpartpicker.com. so my question is, would you please review my build and tell me whether it's good or bad and what i could change. here is a link.

Looks good overall but a few things stood out too me. The ram you chose looks good but is a little on the slow side. Try getting a kit in the 2666 or faster range. 32gb is more than enough so for pricing if you need to go down to 16gb but faster ram it would be ok.

The other things that stood out are why the sound card, network card, and then a wireless network card. Any reason for those? The MB you chose comes with an integrated sound card and an integrated Intel network card so I'm a little confused as to why you're adding them. Then on top of that you added a wireless card. Are you going to be taking this thing too Starbucks every morning?

I agree. Scrap the discreet network cards and sound card. Use the money you saved to get an SSD for the OS at least.

I didn't even think of that but it's a really good idea. With the money he saves by cutting out the fat he could get a nice 256-400gb SSD. Not bad.

i did scrap them, i'm a first time builder so i did not know it was all integrated into the motherboard. a friend's dad is helping me out. and for the RAM i go out and found these pretty good ones, i hope. https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0134EU9YA/ref=pe_386171_38075861_TE_item_image
thanks for the reply my friend :D

EDIT: i think my final build will be something like http://pcpartpicker.com/list/dMFbCy

That's a solid build but why the water cooling now instead of the 212 Evo? I noticed you also went for a more expensive graphics card. What's the reasoning there? Does the Titan offer something the 1080 doesn't?

Also don't forget to the check Asus's site for ram compatibility with the MB you selected. I did a quick search and didn't see that kit listed on the QVL. I'm not saying the ram you chose won't work just be aware that it might not. Compatibility has gotten a lot better since Z170 and DDR4 first launched but it is something you should be aware of.

EDIT:After taking a closer look I like your first build better minus the network cards and sound card like I mentioned. Add the ram from your second build to the first build and I think you'll have a machine that will last you several years.

what do you mean by " for the OS (operating system?)", if you don't mind me asking.

I don't know what your budget is like, or how much space you need. A 1 TB EVO is $315. A 500 GB EVO with a 1 TB hard drive would give you more space and cost you less. Up to you.

These all are so far great systems and as on longtime EGVA and ASUS buyer I loving my Gigabyte Choices and my Samsung over Vizio 4k monitor.

I would replace the Titan with a 1070 or 1080 card and add a large SSD as well.

1) too much ram, 16Gb is plenty.
2) throw away the 1Tb HD and go SSD only.
3) instead of spending that INSANE amount of money on a corsair case, go with the Fractal Design R4 (or one of their even cheaper yet superb models)
4) you dont need a sound card
5) you probably dont want WiFi. i hope you don't want WiFi. a wired connection is always better.
6) you dont need a case fan.

and also i would go to a 1070, because price/performance its better.
my list would be like this:

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor (€352.79 @ Mindfactory)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (€33.46 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (€124.84 @ Mindfactory)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (€103.93 @ Mindfactory)
Storage: Crucial MX300 525GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€123.95 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Windforce OC Video Card (€414.99 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case (€88.89 @ Mindfactory)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit
Total: €1242.85
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

i would also budget in a Zowie FK1 or AM-1C, a Silent Monsters XXL mousemat, and whatever monitor you can afford, preferably with ULMB@120Hz+.
a mechanical keyboard would also be nice, maybe tenkeyless.

was 4k ever mentioned? doesn't look like to me.

No Display was mentioned but were building a gaming PC and all the other parts would support it why not build a PC that can support 4k if not for now then in the future and the GTX 1070p would be a weak choice.

for various reasons. 4k is a new tech, and it's expensive. not many games support 4k res out of the box. a 1080 will not push 4k to 100pfs, and we don't know what games the OP plays. a high refresh monitor might be more appropriate in most cases.
looks to me like you brought 4k in here out of your own mind and somehow tried to make like it's something the OP wants for himself. how about you ask him first ?

I dont see any posts from the OP thats say he wants a 1080p system and prefers hi res 100fps.

I myself am a long time gamer just updated my system to play DOOM, WoW, Gears of War series and my other current games and with my earlier posted Samsung 40" 4k monitor at less that 400 dollars it looks stunning running every game at ultra settings and the 60fps is working fine for me a 40" display is stunning to see or I can run games on my special port of my last year Vizio 65" 4k HDTV.

do you see the problem here?
there is NO request for 4k anywhere but in your head. 1080 is the market standard and that is what we advised for. OP did not request 4k and also did not request being able to monitor multiple thermal centrifuges, yet you only decided to advise for one of these two. How do you know he is not an Iranian nuclear scientist?

also,

seriously.
