The gentlemen in the video looks like he cut all his hair and his beard with a #1 guard.
Why do game developers always look like they just crawled out of a dumpster?

You know, I could see all the weapon/vehicle breaking, and self-surgery getting really tiresome depending on how frequently it occurs. Sure, it may add to immersion, but I don't want to always have breaks in the action to push one button and sit through 10s of repetitive character animation.

SERIOUSLY. But as to immersion, when do cars or guns break down and explode from regular use? Immersion would be weapons and cars that DON'T break down. I saw the trailer from a year or more ago in early beta where the guy is digging out bullets with a knife and thought "oh boy, that's gonna get old real quick"

ya, actual implementation is key. And, I can understand with weapons breaking down...but the whole fixing car thing is pure gay.

I don't think so. I think the car scenario just adds to the realism. I mean, face it, shit happens. Doesn't it???

I don't like it. I mean, how immersive is it when every single car problem is fixed by quickly tightening something in the engine bay with a socket wrench?
And wtf, the gun just breaks apart after a while from being used too much?

everybody wants more "realism" as long as it does not make their job of finishing the game too hard.
wtf? are people that lazy that they even want to cakewalk though a game?

There's a difference between making things difficult and making things challenging. Nobody wants a cakewalk, but they'd rather have it be challenging because the AI is good and knows how to flank you or something of the sort. Not because your weapon just happened to randomly jam on you when somebody was gunning you down. That's a cheap way to make the game seem more challenging when really it just adds layers to the pain in the ass part of the game.
That said, I don't mind the weapon jamming thing from time to time... but if they're going to stick something like that in the game then it better not interfere with the fun. Games are supposed to be FUN first and foremost, realism should come second. I'm very worried that they may be forgetting that.
