New EVGA B stock deals

just got an EVGA x58 sli mobo for $89.99 shipped from B-stock

and yes, before anyone asks, these are refurbs. however, I'll take a $225 mobo refurbed for $90 any day. 90 day warranty and no peripherals so n00bs beware.

Exact board I have and runs real good @ 4.0Ghz (I7 920 D0) 19X211fsb no sweat... Memory is Gskill Trident PC2000 and has ran 1916mhz 9-9-9-24 with 1.6 volts so yes the board is solid...

"Refurb" NForce 730 8200GPU AM2 board arrived last week, absolutely mint. It had never been screwed into a case. Think they were just unloading some overstock with that model. It was introduced at ~$96, 2 years ago, and if they had called it an 8200 board w. HDMI maybe they would have sold more of them at full retail. Love EVGA stuff.

I bought two of the 730A boards last month, and both are sold already. Its easier to find a cheap AM2 chip than an equivalent Intel chip, but the DDR2 RAM prices dampen any for sale builds these days.

Great price on that X58 SLI !! If I wasn't in savings mode, I'd retire my i750FTW for that.

I've been waiting for this sort of deal to come back, my p6t has given me problems since day 1. I just missed the x58 sli le for 79.99 shipped a couple months ago, glad I ended up with this one instead.

I might have to jump on this board... I got the same board when it first came out and it's been golden so far for two years now.. have a 920 in it @3.8(i think)

sorry to hear about the problems you are having with the p6t. I've got a p6t deluxe since the LGA1366 have been out and it's been golden for me (the one with the SAS controller on it.. running two 10k rpm drives on it in raid0) with a 940 on it @ 4Ghz... and two 5870's.. i'll be adding the 5870s to the cooling loop as soon as i get the last swiftech komodo wb for it... just need one more

So tempting, if i get this, the $199 i7930 and the $60 ddr3 ram from mwave i can effectively upgrade to i7 rig for $360.

^^ I did that last month, except i ope for 6 gigs of mushkin from newegg because there werent' a deal that i know of at the time.

Do they include I/O shield? I understand no accessories, but that would be the deal maker/breaker for me..

Doesn't say, however most other retailers that sold this part [refurb] did include an I/O shield. That was it.

memory slots 1 and 2 are bad, but it's out of warranty now. overall not a bad board, but I was hoping it would last a bit longer.

all my abit boards have outlasted the company for example. THAT's the kind of quality I was looking for!

Is the LGA775 non-FTW board worth picking up? Just for use as an email/word processing machine, paired with something like an E3300.

Will you guys that are buying these boards post some quick evaluations after you get them (such as what was included in the box, did the board boot without issues,if not, what went wrong; general condition of mobo, etc.)? That would be helpfull to the rest of us. Thanks in advance.

For such basic use, wouldn't a lower end board be better? Newegg's newsletter email today had a coupon code for an MSI G31 chipset board for $30 shipped, brand new with full warranty. It would be a perfect match for an E3300 using IGP for email/word, and it would fit into cheap mATX cases too.

I accidentally ordered 2. :$ Left one of them unopened, sending it back tomorrow. Hopefully they won't charge me a restocking fee, if they do I guess I can just sell it on fs/ft or ebay. Only the backplate for me, nothing else. Thankfully, this mobo plays nice with my ocz ram. You will need to go to evga's website to d/l the manual and/or troubleshoot.

Only hiccup was when I first started it up I tried dimm slot 2 with one stick and slot 4 with one stick, it won't work that way. If you are testing it out dimm2 is closest to the cpu, then 1, then 4, then 3, then 6, then 5. I'm in 1,3,5 and everything is cool for me. Amazingly, I haven't downloaded mobo drivers or anything at all from evga, this thing is working like a dream now. My computer + ssd is now actually FAST instead of chugging along the way it did on my p6t. Think I'll stick with evga next time.

It sounds hit and miss. I got the board and an I/O shield, the board was the right one, the I/O shield was the wrong one. It wasn't even close!

I/O shield/backplate

put it together and worked the first time after i boot up. dummy OC (a feature) the 930 to about 3.16 GHZ stable.
