I might have to jump on this board... I got the same board when it first came out and it's been golden so far for two years now.. have a 920 in it @3.8(i think)I've been waiting for this sort of deal to come back, my p6t has given me problems since day 1. I just missed the x58 sli le for 79.99 shipped a couple months ago, glad I ended up with this one instead.
so what exactly are not included?my X58 came with an I/O shield, some sata cables & a set of case badges.
memory slots 1 and 2 are bad, but it's out of warranty now. overall not a bad board, but I was hoping it would last a bit longer.I might have to jump on this board... I got the same board when it first came out and it's been golden so far for two years now.. have a 920 in it @3.8(i think)
sorry to hear about the problems you are having with the p6t. I've got a p6t deluxe since the LGA1366 have been out and it's been golden for me (the one with the SAS controller on it.. running two 10k rpm drives on it in raid0) with a 940 on it @ 4Ghz... and two 5870's.. i'll be adding the 5870s to the cooling loop as soon as i get the last swiftech komodo wb for it... just need one more
mind have nothing except the I/O shield. no cable no manual no USB back plate no nothing.so what exactly are not included?
4 sets of sata cables, driver cd, manual, ide cable, usb bracket, firewire bracket, sli bridges, 4 pin adapters...so what exactly are not included?
For such basic use, wouldn't a lower end board be better? Newegg's newsletter email today had a coupon code for an MSI G31 chipset board for $30 shipped, brand new with full warranty. It would be a perfect match for an E3300 using IGP for email/word, and it would fit into cheap mATX cases too.Is the LGA775 non-FTW board worth picking up? Just for use as an email/word processing machine, paired with something like an E3300.
I accidentally ordered 2. :$ Left one of them unopened, sending it back tomorrow. Hopefully they won't charge me a restocking fee, if they do I guess I can just sell it on fs/ft or ebay. Only the backplate for me, nothing else. Thankfully, this mobo plays nice with my ocz ram. You will need to go to evga's website to d/l the manual and/or troubleshoot. Will you guys that are buying these boards post some quick evaluations after you get them (such as what was included in the box, did the board boot without issues,if not, what went wrong; general condition of mobo, etc.)? That would be helpfull to the rest of us. Thanks in advance.
It sounds hit and miss. I got the board and an I/O shield, the board was the right one, the I/O shield was the wrong one. It wasn't even close!Do they include I/O shield? I understand no accessories, but that would be the deal maker/breaker for me..
my x58 SLI comes with 2 items in the box:Will you guys that are buying these boards post some quick evaluations after you get them (such as what was included in the box, did the board boot without issues,if not, what went wrong; general condition of mobo, etc.)?
