parallelisms

Used by Hard Ball on 09-06-09 in a very beautiful sentence:

In a way, R600/RV670/R770 "SIMD cores" are coarse grained SIMD superimposed on fine grained VLIW, and the instruction store has both of these statically arranged parallelisms encoded in the instruction stream prior to execution of individaul "wavefronts" (really just SPMD's individual streams) or whatever they are call it these days.

Used only two other times in 2001 and 2005.

Strike three. Thanks for playing. 🙂

Huh. Which rule did I break?

Rules:
- Word must be recognized English (per http://www.merriam-webster.com). It is.
- Word must be spelled correctly. It is.
- When the word is entered into the keyword search there must be no more than 5 threads with an update date of 5/26/09 or newer. 5 threads since 5/26/09.
- Word must be used at least once in the last year OTHER than in this thread. Yep, it was.
- Subsequent posts quoting the word from the original post do not count as use. Fair enough.

Now that I think of it, if you want to win this contest your best bet is to search words by Rubycon. :awe:
