enfeeble

Appears but once, but is buried in a long quote, so I'm not giving credit here.

fatuous

Appears 6 times, but once in a long-assed P&N quote, so, by my unitaterally amended rules, it's in. ;)

Ha! My devious plan to steal your day is succeeding! Muahahahahaaa!

Why you horrible harridan, you hoydon, you strumpet, you! :D

Meanwhile back at the obsession station . . .

puissant appears twice, but once in a quote and once used completely wrongly.

puissance, which I originally searched, not at all.

And eclat, along with a number of other words I've searched, also doesn't appear at all!

Which reminds me to look, and . . .

harridan does not appear in the last year, and comes up only three times ever -- once by Golotha in a MB thread:

http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=20027596&postcount=12

Once by me in the "f'ed up words" thread:

http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=21719280&postcount=21

And once by blakeatwork:

http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=23582067&postcount=64

But none since 2007.

Fucked up search function still fucked-up. I KNOW I've used that word more than once here, and hoydon as well (not to mention the far more common strumpet).

Yup, hoydon (admittedly far more obscure than harridan) doesn't show up at all. Boooooooo!

Having forgotten to return from "any date" to "a year ago or newer" perambulate came up 6-7 times, but not once in the last year.

There seem to be a number of not all that wildly exotic words like that which haven't been used at all in the last year, as well as a number of ones no more common (to me) that HAVE been used far more times than 5, like tesselate.

Interesting. At least to me.

abstemious

Appears only once in the last year, but not used originally by the poster, rather buried in a long P&N quote.

Balderdash is way more popular a word than I would have assumed : (

Inspired by the obsolescent Brit slang balderdash I searched for popinjay.

No appearances in the last year, and only ONE use ever outside of the user named popinjay! :D

concomitant

Listed 7 times, but only 4 "original" usages in the last year.

Again, a cut and paste quote doesn't count to me.

stenodialysis

If you google that you will find only one match and that's the thread it was used in. :D

That's ok time to go! I just got a call that my ride is ready! I'm headed over to Hamilton rocking a souped up Motobecane scooter! (I asked if I could ride the rotary and they said "maybe"). Oh boy! :D

folderol

More "elderly" British slang.

Appears only 5 times in the last year, and two of those refer to the pun-based name of a distributed computing org.

crapulent <--------------- Actual upright English word

Whoops, had my search to fo'evah and it came up 3 times, 2003, 2005, & 2008, but not ONE time was it used correctly.
